FLSA Status:            Nonexempt


SummaryReporting to a group leader or supervisor, assembles a limited variety of products composed of small, light to medium weight components.  Performs repetitive tasks using manual or automated tooling.  Follows established procedures in assembly operations and works under close supervision using simple assembly and wiring instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Functions as a participating team member
- Assembles components per written or verbal instructions
- Assembles components correctly in designated time, as assigned
- Reviews and completes required production documentation
- Maintains a safe and orderly workplace
- Performs related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- General math skills, able to count and measure
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Able to take direction and follow assembly operations and wire lists
- Demonstrate proficiency in OJT processes

Skills and Abilities:

- Accurate visual acuity for color and depth perception
- Vision sufficient to accurately measure in fractions of an inch
- Manual dexterity to handle small hand tools

Summary:  Reporting to a group leader or supervisor, assembles a variety of products, both standard and customized of moderate complexity.  Builds electronic, optical and mechanical products with minimum supervision.  Interprets blueprints and wire diagrams and may give guidance to less experienced assemblers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Function as a participating team member
- Assemble fiber optic and/or electromechanical assemblies as required
- Review and complete required production documentation
- Update job status in Open Systems as required
- Maintain a safe and orderly work area
- Performs related duties as required

Qualifications:

- Effective experience as an Assembler
- Proficient in most OJT processes in at least 2 production areas
- Successful completion of crimp technology training
- Successful completion of ESD and solder training (if/as required)
- Good math skills with ability to count and measure
- Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions

Skills and Abilities:

- Accurate visual acuity for color and depth perception
- Vision sufficient to accurately measure in fraction of an inch
- Manual dexterity to handle small hand tools including soldering iron
- Read and understand moderately complex assembly instructions

Job Title: Inspector - 1st shift


Exempt:           NO                                           Division:          Assembly
Shift:               1st                                            Department:    Quality
Reports To:     Group Leader/Supervisor

Summary: Inspect and test cable assemblies and products efficiently, while maintaining order status.  Work with minimal supervision.  Inspect to QCI guidelines, CompuLink’s workmanship standards, and requirements specified by documentation.

Qualifications:            

- Experience working with IPC-620 required and J-STD-001 certification is highly desired
- Must be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of ESD, crimp technology, solder and workmanship standards
- Adherence to all company procedures
- General math skills, able to count and measure 
- Ability to take direction, follow systemic procedures, and pay attention to detail
- Ability to operate test machines and understand fundamental electrical or optical properties
- Ability to use a computer
- Proficient in MS Office Applications; Word and Excel
- Strong detail orientation and organizational skills
- Must be able to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, ISO9001 and AS9100 preferable

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Adherence to all company procedures
- Function as a participating team member
- Inspect and test assemblies to appropriate criteria including raw material, in process inspection and final inspection
- Maintain order status control via hold tags, tested tags, pick tickets, travelers and Open Systems
- Record test results on appropriate documentation (i.e., daily worksheets, reject slips, and travelers.)
- Support the calibration technician with calibration activities
- Maintain a safe and orderly work area
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
